As revealed on Collider’s Witching Hour Podcast, by horror journalist/enthusiast Jeff Snieder, who originally got the low-down on the CW’s risky take on their upcoming “The Lost Boys” series. He also went on to reveal the Frog Sisters’ new names, Cassy and Liza

While the CW usually targets a female heavy audience with such shows as The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, and their line of DC Comics related shows, part of the charm was the personality the original brothers, Edgar and Allen, played by Corey Feldman, and Jamison Newlander, brought to Joel Schumacher’s 1987 movie.

With so many remakes in horror filling the screens nowadays, some intent is to distance themselves from the original idea, and make it their own, such as the upcoming Pet Sematary, directed by Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer. But is it a tired fad, already done in countless remakes, a bold new step in being innovative (though it’s not exactly a pioneering idea), or an attempt to sway political favor? Already heavily debated on the Witching Hour Podcast, and sure to be for purist fans of the movie. I’m hoping it’s Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Eliza Dushku cast in the parts. Wouldn’t that be a twist? Let’s hear your thoughts/opinions.
