Writer/Director/Creator Kurt Sutter (Sons of Anarchy) has announced that he will be making his feature directorial debut with Blumhouse on a movie based on the true story: The Beast of Gévaudan. Sutter will write, direct, and produce the film titled THIS BEAST

The Beast of Gévaudan Story Synopsis:
Between 1765 and 1767, an unknown creature killed over 100 people in a rural region of France—and captivated a horrified world. Between 1764 and 1767 a mysterious creature called the Beast ravaged the rural region of Gévaudan, France. About 100 men, women and children reportedly fell victim to La Bête du Gévaudan

“Bringing my disturbing, familial story sensibility into the Blumhouse world just seemed like something that had to happen. And THIS BEAST is the perfect project for that marriage. And Netflix is the perfect venue for that bloody ceremony,” stated Kurt Sutter.
Blumhouse will produce the feature film for Netflix. “We’ve long been fans of Kurt and his unparalleled storytelling…We’re excited that Blumhouse is producing his first feature for Netflix,” said Jason Blum, CEO and founder of Blumhouse.
